Fenneke Wolters-Sinke moved to Scotland from The Netherlands in 2005. This gave her the opportunity to turn her passion into a business and leave her previous job as a financial advisor. Although most of her time is now allocated to managing PictureNature, she always tries to find a way to express her creativity by capturing nature and environment.

In 2006, Gordon MacSkimming voluntarily left secure employment as an air traffic control engineer. He had already been diving and taking photographs underwater for many years and there was little doubt in his mind that this was something that deserved much more time.

With his underwater photography he tries to bring out the form, colour, diversity and behaviour of the subjects that he encounters in a manner that will encourage viewers to value the underwater environment. This is important because in the oceans, lakes and rivers only a few people see what is going on, by the time everyone else finds out it is often far too late.

Carl McKie was born on Merseyside and when he moved to a small Shropshire village, it was the start of a lifelong passion for wildlife and nature. While combining various jobs with fishing and watching the wildlife in his spare time, he wanted to capture what he saw so he started his photography. For the last six years he has been working as a freelance nature photographer full time. He gives slide shows, talks and shows his work on his website to make people aware of nature that surrounds us. Nature is everywhere in one form or another and he tries to convey people that we need to look after it. As long as he can continue to carry a bag full of heavy camera gear, he will be happy being alone with his thoughts and the company of nature.

Kris Laudato

"If I were a child, I would be born on Corsica island.

If I were a drop, I would be a part of the Mediterranean Sea.

If I were a speed, I would be patient.

If I were a darkroom, I would be an open shutter.

If I were a point of view, I would be Trough The Lens.

If I were a question, I would be reachable.

If i were an answer, I would be a self made man.

If I were a photographer, I would be a child's dream."

Growing up in Norfolk and having spent his family holidays travelling and walking in the countryside of the UK, Liam Grant's love of the landscape started at an early age. When he picked up his first SLR camera, it soon became obvious that this would be used as a means of capturing nature and ultimataly led to a degree in Photography. Liam's images have been published in magazines and books worldwide.

I still remember the first ever morning I decided to head out at dawn...layers of mist floating over a field of dew coated barley, topped with a golden glow as beams of light were dispersed by a distant tree...It was an experience that left me hooked”.

Spending time shooting all aspects of the outdoor environment, he aims to bring awareness to the sheer beauty and variety of our landscape and the magical moments that nature has to offer.
